Privacy Policy
Dabbly is a local-first notes app. Your notes, whiteboards, and folders are stored on your device and work fully offline. This policy explains what happens to your data — and, for most of the app, the answer is simply that it never leaves your phone.
If you don't sign in
You can use Dabbly without an account. In that case, none of your data leaves your device. We don't collect, receive, or store anything.
If you sign in to sync
Signing in is optional and exists only to sync your notes across your devices. When you sign in:
- Email address — used to send you a one-time sign-in code and to identify your account. We don't use a password.
- Your content — your notes, checklists, folders, and whiteboards are stored in our database so they can appear on your other devices.
That's it. We do not collect your location, contacts, usage analytics, advertising identifiers, or anything else.
How your data is used
Only to make the app work: authenticating you and syncing your content. We do not sell your data, show ads, or track you across other apps or websites.
Service providers
- Supabase — hosts the database and handles authentication for synced accounts.
- Resend — delivers the sign-in code email.
These providers process data only to provide those functions.
Your control
- Export — you can export a full backup of your data at any time from within the app.
- Deletion — you can delete notes and folders in the app. To delete your synced account and all its data, contact us and we'll remove it.
Children
Dabbly is rated 4+ and does not knowingly collect data from children beyond the optional email described above.
Changes
If this policy changes, we'll update the date above and post the new version at this address.
